Lint Check
Why Dryer and Vent Cleaning Matters.
What is Lint Build Up (LBU)?
The amount of LBU (lint build up) is relevant to the volume of laundry being completed over time. The volume of laundry equals LBU.
For example, in an institutional, high volume laundry setting where loads can reach between 18-27 loads daily, As a result, the 4 Point Lint Removal Service should be performed every 6 months.
Standard Lint Build Up
- Dryer efficiencies normal usage – good
- Dryer is operating at normal operating temperatures
- Dryer vent systems Lint Build Up – minimal LBU
- Dryer components, normal wear and tear
- Vent systems – LBU has not effected the dryer efficiency
- Normal energy costs
- Normal static exposure
- Laundry working environment temperature comfortable
Disruptive Lint Build Up
- Dryer has lost efficiencies – services required
- Dryer requires additional drying time per load
- Dryer is not operating at normal operating temperatures
- Dryer Vent Systems Lint Build Up – Visible LBU
- Vent Systems – LBU has effected the dryer efficiency
- Dryer components/parts are operating at higher temperatures then normal operating
temperatures, venerable to breakage - Rising Energy Costs
- Shut downs & Repairs
- Loss production Time
- Static Build & Exposer on equipment, baskets
Damaging Lint Build Up
- Dryer efficiencies are bad
- Dryer cycles require additional time per load
- Dryer is operating in hot temperatures – hot to the touch
- Dryer vent systems Lint Build Up – excessive LBU
- Vent systems – The excessive LBU has highly effected the dryer efficiency
- Dryer components, sensors, igniters, etc., operating in high heat, are vulnerable to breakage
- Not normal wear
- Rising laundry operations costs
- Shut downs & repairs
- Loss production time
- Excessive static exposure
- Laundry working
- Environment is very warm
Hazardous Lint build Up
(Starts at Damaging LBU)
- Dryer poses a high risk for a dryer fire
- Dryer cycles require excessive additional time per load
- Loss laundry production/additional costs
- Shut downs & repairs
- Excessive static exposure
- Laundry working environment is very warm
Our technicians are certified professionals for electric and gas dryers.
For gas dryers, our 4 Point Lint Removal Program is carried out by TSSA-approved G2 gas technicians.
